This recipe uses ingredients found most well-stocked bars, which I put together after many requests for a Key lime pie martini from customers at a restaurant I bartended for. To make it extra special, run a lime around the edge of the martini glass and dip it in crushed graham crackers after chilling. Tastes just like a key lime pie! This recipe makes a single martini. Garnish with lime, if desired.

Ingredients | Key Lime Chocolate Cake

1 fluid ounce vanilla-flavored vodka

1 fluid ounce pineapple juice

1 fluid ounce sweet and sour mix

½ fluid ounce triple sec (orange-flavored liqueur)

½ fluid ounce sweetened lime juice

¼ fluid ounce heavy whipping cream, or to taste

1 cup ice

Directions

Pour vanilla-flavored vodka, pineapple juice, sweet and sour mix, triple sec, lime juice, and heavy whipping cream into a cocktail shaker; add ice. Cover shaker and shake vigorously. Strain cocktail into a chilled martini glass.

I prefer to only use the cream if it is a dessert drink, as it may be a bit heavy.

Use half-and-half in place of heavy cream if you want the creaminess but prefer a slightly lighter dose of it or if it's simply what you have on hand.
